The fifth webinar of the series Unlocking RCEP for Business focusing on competition, government procurement, SMEs and economic and technical cooperation chapters will be held online through Zoom on 16 December 2021 at 14:00 - 17:00 hrs (GMT+7).
The webinar will elaborate on how the RCEP will promote competition in markets and enhance economic efficiency and consumer welfare, increase small and medium enterprises' (SMEs) ability to utilise and benefit from the RCEP Agreement, narrow the development gaps among the Parties, and develop cooperation among the Parties regarding government procurement.
Four key presentations will explain and unlock RCEP chapters and provisions related to competition, government procurement, SMEs, and economic and technical cooperation. This will be followed by a panel of experts, former RCEP negotiators, and private sector representative who will discuss the implications and future prospects of the RCEP in the said areas.
The Unlocking RCEP for Business webinar series aims to promote deeper understanding and greater appreciation of the RCEP Agreement, encourage the business community to take full advantage of RCEP's benefits and showcase the significance of RCEP in promoting and contributing to regional economic integration.
