Women in Agriculture: Champions of Climate-Positive Action: ‘Make Climate Action Everyone’s Business’ Forum
event date
Tuesday, 09 November 2021
event location
Location : Singapore

About the Session:

Women in agriculture are essential stewards for environmental protection and resilience in their capacity as leaders, agripreneurs, growers, consumers and caregivers. When women in rural communities are engaged in climate-positive action, food security and nutrition improve, economies expand, cycles of poverty are broken, and communities are better equipped to both manage and minimize impacts of climate change.

However, women continue to face greater barriers than men in accessing the knowledge, tools, and finance needed to effectively champion these efforts.

Co-organized by Corteva Agriscience and Grow Asia, join us for a dialogue with global private, public and civil society leaders working to bridge the gender gap and empower women driving climate-smart agricultural practices.

Speakers will highlight what has worked and what is needed to champion (and finance) women in future-proofing our global food system.
